This idea comes from the mind of local business owner Richiard Rodney. Mr. Rodney is originally from Jamaica and has been serving up Jamaican Jerk and BBQ in this community for many years. If you have ever driven down Gilbert St you can always see his bright yellow truck. The Move Ya Body Reggae Fest will be celebrated this year on May 4, 2024, from 3pm to 6:30 pm at Fairmeadows Park in Iowa City, IA. We have procured food, a reggae band Indika WSG XXXX, a Star Wars-themed challenge course, and a Family Information Fair to give information about Reggae and help connect to local resources and much more! Families can plan to engage in exciting activities with community organizations in the Museum parking lot, new expanded lobby, and Aldeen Davis Celebration Hall throughout the day.
